Summer Concert
in
St. Giles Cathedral
20th May, 2026
8.00pm

The Choir performed their Christmas concert on December 10th, 2025 and despite miserable weather a full house enjoyed the evening. The programme included some of our seasonal favourites as well as new repertoire. We were treated to four hands at the piano when our accompanist, Donald Thomson, was joined by one of our sopranos, Lyn Leslie, and Donald also played one of his own compositions. A very happy start to the Festive Season.

.'... the atmosphere in the hall was so positive, warm and friendly. What a lovely group of people and what a lovely way to spend a Dec Christmas evening' audience comment.

Breath of Heaven
We Wish You a Merry Christmas

On May 21st 2025, the Choir, joined by guest soloist Mhairi Gibson, held their Summer Concert in the Binks Hall. The audience was delighted by the performance of the choir and captivated by Mhairi’s glorious singing. A surprise treat for audience and choir alike was Mhairi’s duet with Seonaid, our Musical Director.
When Dreams Take Flight

The choir has performed regularly at St Giles Cathedral, most recently in November 2023 raising money for ‘The Welcoming’ which supports refugees and migrants in Edinburgh.
Over the last few years our donations have also included support for cancer charities and those working with homeless people.

As well as our regular annual concerts, other musical ventures have included hosting a French choir for a weekend of shared music and friendship, introducing a youth choir from the USA to the joys of a Scottish ceilidh and singing in the Edinburgh Music Competition Festival.
